Hey Sare-Bears! Let me start off by apologizing for not getting a post up in quite a while! I have been so busy recently and things are about to get even crazier with cheer season starting next week but my new goal is to get at least one post up a week. I do need to know what day yall would want that to be excluding Fridays since that will be game day so just comment what day below. Now that that's all sorted out lets get started!
This past week I was at my church's high school camp. We call it beach camp and we had it at Gulf Shores, AL. It was so much fun! At first I was a little nervous...OK alot nervous...since we would not have our phones with us for the four days we were at the camp since that was my first away camp but it was amazing! We had so much fun every day. McCray and I started the day off by either waking up at 7:15 to go to the beach before breakfast or waking up at 8:00 to be ready for breakfast at 9:00. Now I know what you maybe thinking...why are they waking up an hour before we had to be ready?...well we were in a bunk with about 10 other girls. Therefore only having two bathrooms and two showers was a bit of a hassle. Anyways after breakfast we had quiet time with our bibles and honestly that was my favorite part. Then we would meet up with our family groups and discussed what we read about then we would head up to worship and around 10:45 we broke off into separate groups to learn how we could grow with God in our everyday life choices. McCray and I did college the first day, social media the second day and missions the third day. On the fourth we all broke up into boys in one room and girls in the other to learn about why we should be caring of ourselves and the way other people look at us so we can be more modest. My friends mom was actually who gave us the talk and though almost no one else enjoyed it of course Cray and I did! Then we ate lunch. After that we had family rec/tournament time. The first, third and fourth day McCray and I spent by the pool. The second day we were forced to play volleyball and I honestly think that I was so bad and that's why we were not forced to again. Which was actually perfect for me! Then we had our free time which McCray, Alyssa, and I spent at the beach. When we came back from the beach we cleaned up then had dinner, worship, and family groups again. After that we had Karaoke until bedtime. Except for the last night when we went to the beach and sang worship songs. It was so beautiful.
I am so glad that I went this past week because I got to learn so much and it was so much fun! If you ever get a chance like this I beg you to take it because it was such an amazing experience.
Thanks for reading!
Love,
Sarah Elise
